I was browsing the net and decided to find out what people all over the world think of male height. Basically – what is the ideal male height interval.
I browsed a few forums, some yahoo answers and discussion boards and found out that most people say they prefer males in the height range of 6′ – 6’4”. That’s about 185 – 192 cm.
However there were some interesting ideas that basically – you have the ideal height if you are taller than 90% of males around you. So, if you would live in Netherlands, you would probably want to be close to 6’4” while if you are from China 6′ would be ideal height for you. If you are 6′ tall you should feel pretty safe since it’s above average in almost every country except Dinaric Alps and Netherlands where the average height is at around 6’1” mark.
Remember, that if you feel too “short” for your country you always have a choice of moving to a place where people of your stature are considered tall. For example, the average male height in Indonesia is only 5’2″ (around 158 cm).

Considering everything else is identical, females tend to pick not the male who is the tallest but the one who is the tallest of the group, since this man would be considered to be the “alpha male”. But even girls have said that if a guy is above 6’4″ he looks freaky and usually resembles a beanpole since most of these people are thin. However, when the guy gets muscle, he starts to look scary. So, yes, there is such a thing as “too much height”! Besides, bearing in mind, that most things (cars, doors, beds, chairs, etc…) are designed for people of average height, a person who is too tall might bump into things too often and have health disadvantages as well later down the road.

I am so short and I never get girls.
Eh, even though I’m a woman, I don’t care how tall guys are. If there is a guy who’s interested, he could be 4’5” and I wouldn’t care!

i’m 6″3.5″-6″4″. Ironically, i’m like the 5th tallest in the 9 group of people i always hang out with.
im 5’8″ and a quarter exactly. never had a problem with girls. although this is an inch or two under the average height (so i’ve read) it hasn’t really affected me. i don’t feel tall or short. my gf is 5’3″ and its a perfect size difference. i have met a couple girls who will tell me they’ll only date guys 6′ and up though. it’s all about what you like. i’ve known some real short dudes 5’1″ – 5’3″ who have gotten more ass than i have. it’s confidence, not height or weight. ladies men don’t have a look, they got charm. im sure those guys wished they were taller. even guys who are 6′ might wish they were taller, especially when some dude whose 6’4″ gets in their face. nothin you can do about it though, gotta be the best you. hope this helped!
